When observing an object through a glass at a skewed angle the image appears at an offset and nearer to the observer than it should be. The simulation shows this effect in thick window and backside mirror. Viewing in the "All Images" mode demonstrates that the image points are in fact arcs, so depending on detector size the image may become fuzzy.
To the right of the frame you can also find the effect of a wedge on the apparent size.
