# Inferior mirage

This is a simulation of the Inferior mirage effect. The sky with this effect is modeled (specifically in this example) with the refractive index $$n(y)=\sqrt{1 + (\frac{y}{h})^2 }$$, where $$h=600$$ represents the height of the sun above the ground. In this simulation the sky is composed of rectangles with constant refractive index according to $$n(y)$$. This simulation aims to demonstrate this effect qualitatively.
